Pre-Departure – From day one, our students are paired with an American ‘Mentor’ who will be their friend and academic advisor throughout their stay in the U.S. Prior to their arrival, each student will have direct contact with their Mentor through e-mail or SKYPE video chat. Mentors will ensure that students are prepared for their journey abroad and be able to assist with any remaining questions they may have prior to their departure. Questions are open but not limited to visa issues to cultural questions to how to open a bank account.
High School Years – Upon arriving in the U.S., our Mentor Program really shines and is what separates us from other educational consultants. Periodically, each student will arrange an in-person visit with their Mentor to discuss their goals and objectives for the upcoming school year. It can be confusing when it comes time to choose classes for the upcoming semester, decide whether an AP class is appropriate, or when it’s time to request tutoring on a subject that’s giving a student a difficult time. Our Mentors are here to help and offer advice!
College Search Process – Whether advising students on which SAT prep courses to enroll in, what classes will best challenge them academically, what extracurricular programs will help them appear more well-rounded on college applications, or even helping students choose which colleges to apply to – our Mentors are always here to help.
All of our AIEP Mentors are pre-screened college students enrolled in top 4-year universities – they are knowledgeable of what it takes to succeed. During a student’s junior and senior years of high school, AIEP’s Mentors organize weekend visits to top colleges throughout the New England area – all included when you enroll with AIEP.
AIEP is here to help you every step of the way – from the very beginning to the very end!
